Pluto in the Great Work
I’m not holding back anymore.
This morning I attended a tech breakfast event in the Flatiron District. Most attendees were founders building a SaaS and/or AI company.
When asked: “so what do you do?” I simply said: “I’m building a brand that uses astrology to design fashion.”
Crisp compared to older versions of my pitch, and yet I found people tumbling down the rabbit hole with a flood of questions.
An older gentleman really pushed at it, and tried to make me feel like an idiot. But I was not fazed by his passive-aggressiveness, and instead I felt more confident.
Whenever there is intense energy surrounding the work you’re doing, you know you’re on the right track.
That energy is Pluto.
Pluto is the essence of power because it lives in the liminal space between creativity and destruction. Pluto thrives in the darkest recesses of the human psyche from which it attains all its creativity potency.
If you’re not being consistently destroyed by your work—whether it’s through the opinions of others or through the work itself—are you really creating?
