Philosopreneur & Tech Week
NY Tech Week reflection from a philosopreneur:
It’s difficult to pitch Numinous Realm without embracing some level of material reductionism. In the process, the enchantment which is at the heart of the business is buried under techno-normie words and perceptions.
These events give me a chance to experiment with different pitches but I don’t think I’ve nailed one down that is truly in the style of a philosopreneur—holding poetic world view and pragmatic business in harmony.
Perhaps I’ve become comfortable leaning into the paradigm-shifting world view and need to step out of my comfort zone by becoming a better business woman. I need to lean more on numbers, not stories. Although my heart aches in having to surrender to this, it is the only way forward.
The philosopreneur must nurture both—the philosophical narrative and the entrepreneurial strategy. Commerce (not academia) is the battlefield as well as the playground for the philosopreneur. It must be honored and experimented with wholeheartedly.
